4. WELCOME
The chairman welcomed new members. He mentioned the potential of the World Athletics, 2005 being held in London or Germany (Frankfurt). Money would be provided for regeneration and transport links could be hurried along. This would be good news for local business.

5. CCTV
DK has seen the CCTV working in Croydon. DB was concerned that it is not working here, DK said all cameras are working, but DB was still very concerned that the police did not know it was live.

6. WELLBEING CLINIC
Dr Paratian was invited to speak about the Wellbeing Clinic, the only private GP practice in South London. Employees should be looked after under government "duty of care" and his clinic saves time for businesses. They are on 24 hour call and can arrange packages for employees of local business. Offer stress management, flu injections, antibiotics, treatment for colds. An employer would pay per employee and that member of staff could use the doctor's service at any time, relatives from other countries can use the service also. Pierre Bourguignon is a trained osteopath and physiotherapist.
DB promised to put in a page about the clinic in the next newsletter and said that the Upper Norwood Town guide would put the clinic on the map.
The web address is http://www.wellbeingcliniceurope.com/

7. PROPERTIES IN CHURCH ROAD
DK said 64 Church Road had been a difficult property and tremendous improvements have been made in Church Road.
The Town Centre Manager position will be lost. Lambeth andCroydon have both offered to part fund but Bromley is not keen. DK stated the proposal was to have two part time managers for Anerley and Penge. The position is vital for an area undergoing much change.
DK thanked DB for his support in the Croydon Advertiser.
DB mentioned Palace United a new group which represented a vast number of locals in the different boroughs.

8. RADIO SCHEME
The problem of links between here and Croydon was raised.

9. CRYSTAL PALACE STATION
£4 million has gone into the refurbishment of the station and it will be completed this month.

10. ONE WAY SYSTEM
Sunday is the worst traffic day in the week with Westow Hill completely gridlocked. The one-way system is likely to start in February. Transport for London are currently amending the plans. Parking will be heavily restricted to 65 car parking spaces in the High Street. DK mentioned that security in Safeway's car park was being improved to encourage people to park there.

11. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
DK brought up the situation with empty units. 3-7 Church Road will be a new restaurant. By Christmas there will be 15 empty units which is down from the 40 empty ones Crystal Palace had three years ago.
Membership is now online and a paper based edition will be put together.
Palacewatch will share information via an e-mail on a closed user group without violating any data protection issues. Information would only be circulated amongst the gourp.
DB wants to move CCTV forward. Palace United and traders are annoyed about it and it appears that criminals are not aware of it.
DK said crime has come down 60% in other areas where CCTV is live, but DB was concerned that the CCTV in Crystal Palace was being badly managed and did not want to hear about other areas.
