----- Sewing Class - Make an A Line Skirt
By Crafts Bee

Make an A Line Skirt
6 ½ Hours £65.00 inc VAT
A fast paced introduction to making a skirt from start to finish.  At the end of the day you will leave with a skirt, a pattern and the know how  to make as many skirt as you like.
You will be using a simple skirt pattern with no waistband and a concealed zip on the side.  The beauty of it is that it’s easy to adjust the fit to the individual and to make in any length you like to personalise to your own style.
In the past we’ve made one ankle length one for a lady that was 6ft 2inches and another that was quite frankly no more than a belt!
The skills that are learnt on the day include :
  • How to thread and operate a machine, wind the bobbin – straight stich, zig zag
  • Fitting a zip
  • Make darts
  • Hemming
  • Hand-stitching
  • Adjusting the fit of your skirt to fit you
You will take the pattern home and can remake the skirt again.
This class is suitable for complete beginners and it includes a brief introduction to sewing for those that require it.
You will need to bring fabric to make your skirt. We will email you with details to you on booking.
Teacher    Alice Shelmerdine and Louisa Dovovan
Duration 9.30am – 5pm
Class Level   All levels including beginners
Cost    £65.00 inc VAT
