We're looking at West Norwood as Brixton has become a bit too expensive for us and I just wanted to see if anyone had any knowledge of the street? The housing is very mixed but it seems quite quiet and I felt totally safe walking about the area. Be interested to hear some local thoughts

We are delighted to be back again at Christ Church for our Spring event. Following the success of our first fairs in 2009 this is another opportunity for cash strapped parents to purchase quality second-hand baby goods, from clothes, equipment and books to toys and prams from our community stall holders. Items from 50p to £100.

Entry is £2 per adult which includes a ticket for our prize draw and re-entry throughout the day.

Our Spring event has great things on offer and this year a proportion of the proceeds from our 2010 events will be donated to the Cinema Campaign. As a local community event we’re thrilled to support this amazing local campaign! www.picture-palace.org

As usual at 10.45am pregnant mums can “bump the queue” for a pre-sale preview.

Events during the day include:

11am - 3pm Party Poppy Balloon Making & Face Painting
11:30 Diddi Dance
2pm Waggle & Hum Session. Traditional and modern nursery rhymes and song sessions for 0-2 year olds with Fiona Byers from Upper Norwood Library.
3pm Our prize draw with some great donations from our commercial stallholders plus local businesses!
