I referred to the member (Hermit) referring to you as well as my online name as a Nigerian spammer

So I'm a nobody now? At least I'm not the one approaching complete strangers and asking them to work for free.

As a helpfull suggestion, if you could round up anyone who has shown interest, split them in to two teams and send them on tasks to see their potential (for free, obviously)
The team that does the best gets rewarded with going on the pedlos in Crystal Palace park (wishfull thinking) while the others are left in the boardroom to blame each other.
Eventualy you should narrow it down to your ideal candidate.

Good luck

Hermit
yup, a nobody and of course, probably a Nigerian scammer ;-)
Good luck on your steadfast determination to misunderstand, misread, miscomprehend and miss the point.

TC,
I don't understand why you can't build your own website and once your business is succesfull then employ a profesional designer?
I had to build my own website a couple of years back out of necesity. Why can't you do the same?
We had the results needed and once succesful employed a designer to improve the site.
Try moonfruit.com or windows wordpress to get you started.
The other option is to employ a designer and work for free yourself until you can afford to employ someone to improve your site.
Regards

Hermit

P.S. How's the weather out there?

By this I think you appear to be implying everyone else has been unsupportive?
If you continue to put up brick walls between yourself and anyone suggesting alternatives you aren't going to get very far are you? It's disappointing to see you can't take on any new ideas when you are the one asking people to believe in yours.

^^^^ This.

TC should be left to his own devices, he's not going to get anywhere with his current attitude because any help or advice is clearly falling on deaf ears.

If there's one thing you need to be successful with a venture like this, it's the ability to listen and take on board advice from all sorts of different people. TC has decided that there is only one way to run this project, and if anyone else doesn't agree with him, their view is worthless. Would you want to work with someone like that?

This chap simply has an idea with no real understanding of how to realise it, so he's chancing his luck at finding a mug to do all the hard work. The fact that he's also ignored every question asked of his "work for free criteria" should also be cause for concern.

I don't understand why you can't build your own website and once your business is succesfull then employ a profesional designer?

In this case, TCs website is actually the product, sounds like some kind of auction system he's trying to build. You need web programmers, information architects, engineers, usability specialists and a whole host of other experts to build sites like that -- you can't build a site like that using off the shelf website software.

Anyway, I've spent enough time on this joker.

mod's note
I am going to draw this thread to a close as I think that it has run its course.

Top Cat, wish you well with your venture and hope you access the assistance you need.
