In the early 1960's there was a company based in Upper Norwood called Specialised Mouldings Limited.
It was run by two brothers called Peter and David Jackson and specialised in making plastic car bodies for
Lola, Lotus, Cooper, Brabham and Ferrari. They also made sculptures, murals, baptism fonts , films sets etc where extreme attention to detail was required.

Does anyone know the address of where they were located or have any memories of this company they can share with us?

Given as 1 Alma Yard, Alma Place in 'phone books 1960-66. Not there (or changed their name) in 1968; 1967 book is not available. Presumably where Alan Hills Motors now is.

Thanks for your help. Those phone book dates match up nicely as I know they moved to Upper Norwood from Thornton Heath in 1960 and were still there in 1965.

The company was founded in Thornton Heath in the late 50's.

I bet not a lot of local folks know about Crystal Palaces association with these race cars.
