Hi There. I have just found this site and like it very much. I am a local lad, born in Palace Road, Upper Norwood.
Our family was evacuated to Whimslow near Manchester during the war. eventually re-locating to St. Hughs Road, Anerley. Ileft the area in 1959 and travelled the world. I now live in the north east of Thailand.
If I meet any of you in the Virtual Tavern I'll buy you a beer.
Thanks everyone, glad to be among friends.

Wow Acharn - welcome (that's quite a story).

I'm from Up North originally (Lancaster) and did some traveling - closest to Thailand I got was Korea (ESL teacher).

How did you stumble upon VN?

Hi MattVN. I came across VN in a search for Art Nash, a music store in Penge. Schooled at Anerley County Primary, next to the town hall. Then Oakfield Road. Having left school I worked at Grit Abaters in Oakfield Road and studied (day release) at Fairfield in Croydon.
