Has anyone tried Crystal Palace Vodka and does anyone know if a local bar or restaurant is stocking it?

It is bottled by Barton Distilling Co, and the label artwork can be seen here... http://www.bartonbra...alacevodka.html

I hope it isn't like drinking diesel because I think it might make an interesting corporate xmas gift instead of the traditional vino or bubbly.

Hmmmn looks classy!! Why doesn't it have a picture of the Palace on it? Why is it produced by an American company? Bet they've never been to SE19!

There is a small picture of a building at the top of the label. It could be our CP at a stretch of the imagination. Was there ever another CP? Maybe they wanted to refer to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and got confused.

It's definitely a US product and they do a CP gin as well. It gets mixed reviews on the net.

I still fancy a bottle, though. ;)

I came across ivodka.com in the Google listings but every other page on their site is "coming soon".

I spoke to the main Barton Brands importer (http://www.bartonbra.../export/uk.html) but they don't do the vodka or the gin so I've put in an email to the head office.

Thanks James, let us know the reply.

Maybe a few of us could club together and buy a case of the stuff.

Or 2 cases and we could down one at the VN party

Well I reckon one of the blokes who I work with has been at it already. Talking about said product, he just asked me 'Is there still a palace at Crystal Palace?'

Do you think I should have told him there was and it's a big gin palace, guarded by dinosaurs?

I thought EVERYONE knew that CP burned down!!

ps - When is the VN party arranged for?

Of course there's still a Palace here - where does he think we all live?

Mind you, I must say the West Wing's getting a bit draughty this time of year.

We do not currently have a distributor in the UK for Crystal Palace Vodka and Gin.  The brand is available to Malcolm Cowen Ltd, should they elect to import it.

Okay, Crystal Palace vodka not available in Crystal Palace, that makes sense  . What is the connection between said vodka and SE19 then?

Erm, none that I'm aware of.

Maybe it was named after The Crystal Palace in the Disney Magic Kingdom?

Have you never been in the park in summer and been accosted by a tourist asking where the palace is? It happens to me all the time! They look so crestfallen when I tell them it burned down in 1936!

I'm following this up to see if they will import it, what the minimum order quantity is and how much it will cost. The main Barton Brand import they already do is Mescal (with the worm in it).
