I'm pretty sure it's Gary Sinise out of CSI:NY.
I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

I thought that les français were supposed to be good cooks!?

A couple of french women are staying for a couple of weeks with my partner in Dorset (long story) and they said they would treat him to some gallic cooking. Yippee thought he!

Err..... no. Here's a couple of examples:

1. Vegetable Cassoulet - sliced courgettes, a tin of tomatoes, some mixed dried herbs and some salt and pepper (loads of salt in fact).

2. Chicken Curry - pre-cooked/sliced chicken fried in a load of butter and extra added salt, subsequently topped with a jar of Sharwoods curry sauce (no fresh herbs, no spices, no nuffin).

He can't wait for them to drive off back to France in their wee Renault.

The lack of awareness by some of today's youth in how to present yourself for an interview. A friend of my partner has told him that a youth turned up for an interview with the HR female director wearing a T Shirt that had emblazoned on the front 'While you are reading this I am looking at your tits'.

Beggars belief.

I heard something similar from a colleague only today; her sister is HR for [an engineering company], and had a 19 year old kid turn up bleary eyed for an office junior job, reeking of skunk.

We don't as a rule recruit from English stock because it's always 'innit' and 'you get me'. Sad state of affairs when we go to India to get staff in

I recall with horror hearing an English receptionist at a prestigious architects saying "Who was you wantin' to talk to?" to a caller on the phone...
