The UK’s first vintage hair and beauty spa is looking to recruit an apprentice. We are looking for someone with a dynamic and enthusiastic attitude who is prepared to learn. This is a training position which will focus greatly on your development and education within the business, which could result in excellent promotional prospects. Please take a moment to read through the following criteria and if you feel they apply to you then we would like to hear from you;
  • You must be qualified to level 2 standards and have either started your Level 3 training or have been accepted on a course for Level 3 in the near future.
  • A passion for natural, non toxic skincare would be an advantage but full product training will be given.
  • You must have excellent manicure skills with particular attention to your polish techniques (including French polish).
  • You will need to be experienced in both hot and warm waxing techniques and confident at Brazilian waxing.
  • It is essential that you are confident at facial massage with a strong underpinning knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • You must have immaculate personal presentation and client care skills together with a confident telephone manner as you will also be required to work on reception.
  • You will need to display a confident and enthusiastic approach to retailing and will be responsible for hitting monthly targets.
  • You will need an excellent command of both written and spoken English with an excellent telephone manner.
  • You will need to be self motivating and confident with excellent organisation skills.
  • You will be expected to be punctual and to maintain an impeccable level of attendance.

References will be required from college tutors and/or previous work experience.

You must hold a European passport and/or valid work permit.

Hours: 40 hours per week (includes time at college)
Salary: According to age and experience.
To include commission on retail sales.

As it's a vintage salon - you'll also need a steady hand for drawing on all those stocking seams, ho ho!

Don't worry, I give full training in seam scribbling, I have an 'ology in it :blink:.
