But you go through the park, no? So I thought you go down on to Thicket Rd and up through the park?

Anyone know what time the torch is likely to be in the park on the 23rd?

Looking at the time schedule posted at the beginning of this thread it looks like it will be around 10am. It's in Bromley at 9am and then down in Croydon around 11:30. The park and track are inbetween these two times so 10ish will be a good bet. I guess it will be a bit chaotic with road closures etc, so better head there early.

A bit early for me. I will be in bed snoring off my hangover.

I think it's Philip Davis. You can read about him here http://www.croydonso...sabilities.html

I just heard that you need tickets to see the torch in the park. Surely that's just an evil rumour!?!?! Right?
Even I, the very sceptical, Olympic-peeved of misspoddy have trouble believing it could be that bad.... or do I?

I sincerely hope they aren't ticketing it. I'm hoping to go but can't commit in advance as it's subject to me not having any meetings on Monday morning.

I can't find anything online about it being a ticketed event in the athletics arena so hopefully people can just turn up. Plenty of opportunities to see the torchbearers elsewhere in the area but it would be cool to see them running around the track.
