Boerewors is Afrikaans for farmer's sausage and it's a chunky, coarse-cut loooong sausage you put in its entirety on the barbie in a coil. Mm-mm :)

Something to help you get over the disappointment GillW, that's if the sun ever comes out again at the weekend - Billings, the fishmonger and butcher in Sydenham is doing Boerewors or Boorwos as they are calling them. Picked one up today just incase. They are made to traditional recipe and with beef and pork. It is huge.
