Nor had I, the actual priorities are set by the panel but there ain't no panel, in fact there hasnt been one for a couple of years now. As the SNT is cross border there does need to be some sort of coordinated panel to meet at intervals to feedback on these priorities and whether other crimes need to be tackled and prioritised as a matter of urgency. These priorities have been set by the SNT without discussion or as a result of questionnaires etc.

The SNTs do a great job - especially the CP SNT. A couple of weeks ago I was approached by the SLP for a comment on the possible closure of Gipsy Hill Police Station. Before commenting I checked out the story with the Met and was given a staement from the Major's office setting out the plans for future policing in Lambeth.

It is very carefully worded - what it is aiming for is better police services and at the same time implementation of massive cuts across the board - it says at the moment there are no plans to sell GH Police Station.

Looks like the Mayor's think tank has mapped out new future policeing across the capital focusing on creating one central hub per borough. As far as Lambeth goes resources are being pumped into Brixton to create a new HQ for police teams across the borough. Local stations, many of which I am told are not fit for purpose, will be sold and teams will relocate to new Lambeth central HQ. It is claimed this will result in a better police service for all and at same time save £££s

I have also heard that the CP SNT is to relocate to South Norwood. This will be a real blow for the SE19 area as the CP SNT coordinated the surrounding police teams and made a real difference to the area that is set across five different authorities.

Looks like CP will be more or less a law unto itself - no change there then

Is CP SNT the same one as the Triangle SNT on Central Hill?

Hmmm, the lambeth one opposite seems a bit more active these days, I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

There are all sorts of rumours going around about the CP SNT however whilst Croydon Police are lookiing at a new policing model for Croydon and putting SNTs into clusters the CPSNT, because of its unique remit, remains stand alone. The question of whether it goes to South Norwood is one of many rumours doing the rounds - when you consider that near on a quarter of a million was spent on the "shop" in recent years, FoI enquiry, it would seem a little wasteful not to use it ... there again how many other resources are wasted in the drive for progress??
