(Shameless plagiarism of a topic from edf)

I'll kick off...

Fifty Shades of Grey.

What a load of laughably poorly written tosh! Little more than a jumped up Mills and Boon bodice ripper with annoying central characters - and from all the fuss over this book you would have thought that the author had flipping invented BDSM rather than it having thrived for centuries!

I wanted to see what all the hype was about - thank god for the Kindle 'try a few chapters before you buy' option is all I can say....

Stone Roses. I love my guitar music but I just never got this lot (apart from 'Love Spreads'). Best debut album ever? Ho hum.

I loved the Stone Roses debut album when it came out and I went to see them last weekend.
They were ok but they and everyone else on the bill were completely out done by the Wailers.
Note to other bands don't book a band to support you who are way tighter than you'll ever be.

As for my own list, Christian Bales acting, F Scott Fitzgeralds writing, ... I could go on but don't wish to bore everyone.

Not really sure who Ed Sheeran is, if that's any consolation.

Dare I suggest the Olympics?

I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

Edvard Munch.

Decided that last night after seeing the thingy at Tate Mod.
Decent enough at daubing paint, but was so self obsessed as to be more than a bit tedious.

Couldn't convince the other half to see Damien Hirst, as that'd be a given for TTAHO.

But what isn't overrated is the fab view from the top floor bar at Tate Mod. That's one of my all-time London bests, anytime of day or night.*

*cue - comment on why can't we have a restaurant and bar with a view in CP?

Have to disagree on Edvard Munch, sorry!

Andy Murray. Knew he wouldn't win. Glad to see the back of Wimbledon for another year!

That's as may be - but my claim to fame is that Munch once wanted to paint my grandmother, but my great-grandmother wouldn't hear of it as you don't want to mix with these shifty artist-types! :D How hysterical is that!

On an iPhone note - one of my colleagues who has been issued with one has renamed it the egoPhone. I rather like that!

Sir Kenneth Brannagh's attempts at playing a Swedish detective. Painful.
