Hello!

We were recommended Virtual Norwood by some of our new hosts based in West Norwood, and it seems like a great opportunity for us to tell you a bit more about our project Room for Tea.

Room for Tea is a new kind of homesharing network. We connect guests in need of short-term, affordable accommodation in London with hosts who have a spare room in their homes.

Room for Tea is for anyone but our motivation is to help aspiring interns and apprentices access affordable accommodation in London during their work experience, offering anyone, from anywhere, a fair chance at starting their dream career.

Room for Tea provides its hosts a supply of secure, vetted and responsible guests for short to medium term stays. Hosts using the service can benefit from additional income and the opportunity of sharing their home with someone, on a flexible basis to suit their needs.

More information is available on www.roomfortea.com

Welcome!

I can recommend Room For Tea. Having seen an article about them in the Metro, I invited the founder round to view my spare room with a view to perhaps letting it out on a weekly or fortnightly basis in the future. I thought the concept was novel and worthy and the delivery excellent. It's a Design Council-funded start-up by some recent graduates and aims to foster social inclusion at both ends of the age spectrum. The website has been well designed and, despite being run by a small team, the company's employees offer exemplary service. All in all, an endeavour worth supporting.
