Tell us about machines you love. Here's one of my all-time favourites, the Ekranoplan; it's not a plane, it's not a boat, it's not a hovercraft, it's not a hydrofoil, it is in fact, somewhere in between all four:-

I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

My favourite machine has to be the Trouser Press - either that or the steam operated pencil sharpener

Tadpole - my favourite word

XB-70... an astonishing piece of engineering for the time (1960's).

One day I'm going to sell up, and travel the world in one of these superb beasts:-

My Dad worked with monsters like these in the 60s.

I'd like one of these

A fully operational one

But an old train carriage down the bottom of my garden would be cool. Would that count as a machine?

Oh yes indeed, I once knew people in Kent who lived in a train carriage during the summer, it was gorgeously decked out, and a great place for a party.

The routemasters were going for £2,000 just after they were decomissioned. I'd quite like, an, erm, K2 phone box and sadly this site got my heart racing

Racking my brains to think of any machines that I 'love'....

..... erm....does my Galaxy Tab count? (probably not?).

I know! My Clas Ohlson Wake Up Light - now that I do love. I don't necessarily buy into Seasonal Affective Disorder but I do hate my alarm going off and waking me when it's dark, much preferring to wake up naturally as the ambient light gradually increases.

I bring you the 'look like a complete tosser-o-matic'. I love it because it does the impossible by making golfers look even more stupid.
