Am I allowed to throw in a Slinky please? If not I'll go for one of James Bond's cars.

If you can have a Slinky, I can have a Zippo:-

I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

Me too - a design classic!

Another object of great beauty - form and function:

I love the Swiss Army Knife my grandfather gave me nearly 30 years ago, and which I still use a lot. Lovely piece of design:-

Mind you, the Leatherman I gave my wife for her birthday a few years ago is even sexier. It might seem like a strange thing to give a woman for her birthday, but she uses it all the time in her job as an installation artist:-

Call that a knife?

THIS is a knife:

...although I've just lost a LOT of respect for Swiss Army knife manufacturers after finding this:

THIS. Don't know how it works or why but it's the greatest machine ever invented and I want one.

Just been given one of these:-

I *heart* draughting equipment, even if there's hardly any manual draughting these days...

I'm a total sucker for power tools. Always have been. For my 18th birthday I asked for a Makita drill and the small Makita sander. Thought that was just about the sexiest thing ... like ... EVVA!
Hasn't really changed. It's great as I can buy all sorts of useless power tools for the hubby pretending I buy them for him.... :) . The only annoying thing is that he doesn' quite share the obsession... Has never stopped me though...
My new desire is less tool and much more food orientated: The Weber Q 140 Electric Bbq. ;). I want to be able to grill mackerel without stinking up the entire house.

BTW, I dont count the knives in the machine category, as for me a machine needs a motor or similar, so Opinel, or Slinkies are disqualified...

I loooooove knifes though :) :) :) :) .

We are in the Tavern so the Slinky and the knives stay? ;) I'm hoping NikD will overrule disqualification.

I'm throwing in a Cona Coffee machine powered by meths - I think this should meet the definition of machine? I would like to own a state of the art Weber Kettle bbq.

I have a really good kitchen setup, sink, work tops, fridge, hobs, next to double french doors that open up onto a balcony with a BBQ right on it. I cook on it weekly and even BBQ'd fish when we had snow just for the sake of it. :)
