We held my firm's Xmas party at Aldwych station a few years back.

The beer was chilled to American standards even though there were no fridges.

poo! I was going to book that yesterday but husband wouldn't committ to it! And he is always complaining that I never arrange evenings out... shuffles off to 'pet hates' thread.

I filmed there ten years ago for about a week back in my film industry days. Pretty fascinating. One of the dissused platforms is kept for filming and still has a functional line to Holburn, it's also used for SAS training and there is blast marks up the walls and broken glass all over the place.
At Holburn, there is a disused soldiers barracks with bunk beds and things, all led from a normal looking door on a platform down loads of corridors.

Hi Billy,

When I post images from flickr I do the following:
  • go into the 'share' option;
  • copy BBCode;
  • back in VN, choose the 'more reply options' option; (doesn't seem to work in the initial posting box)
  • paste the BBCode directly into the post
  • preview the post - the pic should be there and you can delete the flickr related text if you like
  • post - the pic should be there.
Have just tried it below, with my marmite lamp (most people hate it, I love it) and it seems to work.
