Moving chrissyb's review here to kick things off (I did move the post over but because of the date it bumped your post down SL so I'll just copy the text):

Had chocolate cheesecake and mocha in there today with Gekko who had coffee and custard tart. All very yummy and relaxed - the place is of the shabby chic/unmatched furniture with books and magazine variety of coffee shop so it doesn't have a coffee-chain feel at all. Looking forward to going for a cocktail soon - they offer wine/cocktails and music in the evening. All these food reviews are making me feel a bit guilty haha!!

We are going to bootcamp in between indulgences though!!!!!

I am all for supporting new places but the opening times - as a Monday to Friday 9 to 6'er - defeat me somewhat. We excitedly went to try Casa Cuba one evening midweek to find it closed :(

The only option is a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon, but as we are often not in CP at weekends it may be some time before they eventually get my custom

No, as per my flyer (for free rum punch! See my post on 'new openings'), it's now open Thursday to Saturday in the evenings! Sunday too, maybe?

Sat in this place for a couple of hours on Thursday morning (doing the daughters DLA form) and enjoyed the coffee, food and wifi. Certainly a great addition to the palace.

Was swept away by Cuban cocktails and sounds last night in Cassa Cuba.

Warm, vibrant ambience, retro decor, plus excellent live music had this little nook of the Palace on it's feet and Salsaring ( SL you really do need dancing shoes).

Friendly, welcoming staff had to move tables to side of venue to make way for the dancing and more than a smattering of Spanish could be heard amongst the mixed crowd of Cuban, Carribean, Portuguese and Palacetinian patrons - a real taste of South America and more.

Buena suerte Cassa Cuba!

Really knowledgeable bartender. Mary Pickfords and mojitos highly recommended! Killer hangover the day after less so.

PS They're looking for good ideas of how to use the space downstairs - if you have any suggestions, post them here.

It was the place to be on Saturday! The band was great, the drinks superb! It felt like we were really out, in a city, having a lovely time in an upbeat place....
