Hi

Has anyone had to use a courier to collect or send a large item they've bought/sold - eBay or elsewhere - that they would recommend? I've sold a sofa and the buyer is in Edinburgh, and I've offered to help them find someone or a firm... Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks

There is a service called Shiply which provides qoutes from various bidders based on your requirements. Obviously depends on your timescale and budget, but I know of someone who has successfully used it to ship furniture. It seems to be quite competitive as often it may use a van that would be empty on a return journey. Not quite sure where you stand on insurance with some bidders, but you can check on their feedback.
