Mod's Note - Starting this topic as a stop-gap whilst the mods discuss what to do with posts such as these. Don't mind some 'off-colour' and smutty jokes but if they go too far they will be removed. SL

Apologies if they caused offence. Happy to have them removed or hidden while you discuss.

Let me have a chat to the others Hermie - I don't mind them being bundled somewhere with a warning in the Tavern, but as there is a policy of no swearing/offensive material on VN I just need to check that the others are ok with it.

Not every one is as blasé as you about the C word, and most local community forums wouldn't allow its use. Spoke to Gekko and we are happy to keep such posts to one thread - with a warning attached - for the time being.

Mother - You got sent home for using the 'c' word in class?

Kid - Yes.

Mother - Well that wasn't clever, was it?

Kid - No, it was '***'

Trouble is, a thread that allows us to use rude words to humourous effect kind of kills the laugh if it censors the word in question. Any chance we could de-filter the swear words in this thread?

I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

The rude pictures haven't been censored - I just personally don't like using the C word.

If its going to cause an issue I can just close the thread, no probs.

Not really sure what this adds to a community forum. Its not as if there is a shortage of this kind of stuff elsewhere.

I love the c word, used sparingly, it is astonishingly effective. I do, however, make sure I say 'prick' just as much.

Dunno what 'what are you listening to today', 'what are you watching' or 'RIP' add to a community forum, you get those on forums with 'off topic' sections too.
I can see the validity of the thread - you're sharing humour with people you won't necessarily have met but have got to know and had a laugh with on other areas of the forum. I can't see the harm - it's well signposted and as long as the material's not grossly offensive then why not? I'm sure posters will be sensible enough to know what's acceptable and what's not.

(plus it suits my puerile humour right down to the ground!)
