Dexys - Searching for the Young Soul Rebels.  Northern Soul given a political edge and Kev Rowland at his very very best.

My best album was my first, Michael Jackson's Bad:

My favourite because:

  • I remembered all the words to each song
  • I'd listen to it on my Sony Walkman as my mum would drive us to my nana's house on Friday nights
  • It's tied into my childhood where things such as work, bills and stress don't exist

Ok - I think mine is Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd - could have gone for Never Mind the Bx Sex Pistols for what it was at the time in my life but all in all DSOTM still stands up and was a big thing for me in my fomative years. London Calling by the Clash or New Gold Dream by Simple Minds were up there too - showing my age I know!

The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead would be my favourite album.

The first time I heard The Smiths it was a revelation.
