Welcome Kathy!

One other thing about the zebras.. if the parking remains, will the sight lines be adequate for the crossings nearest the hotel and Stambourne Way?

Thank you for all your comments, I have been following the discussion and have linked the officer dealing with this into the site so he can see what you all have to say.

Its about time I joined Virtual Norwood!

Thanks Kathy - the existing Zebra crossings need looking at and road signage too as they are really dirty and obscured.

Agree about the sight lines with parking Wulfhund - drove down Church Road at the weekend and it was pretty bad. So there definitely is a problem.

And still a problem with the huge continental coaches which arrive at the Queens Hotel parking up on double yellows. There was almost an accident on Saturday with traffic coming from behind and overtaking.

Are the Queens hotel behind the planning application for change of use on the other thread because they need to sort out their guests' parking before we have another hotel in the area. What with the various other applications which have been approved in the Triangle makes you wonder whether another hotel in a predominantly residential area is really needed.

The proposals will be going to the Traffic Management Cabinet Committee on the 30th April and there will then be a formal consulation - posters will be put up on lamposts.  This has been an opportunity to comment before the formal process takes place.
