Disgusted at being charged £1.40 for two 'babycinos' which we never actually wanted nor are they advertised on the menu!
As we ordered our coffees and sandwiches, despite not asking for 'babycinos', we were asked by a waitress if we would like them for our children. Since we have often had these drinks offered complimentary in other coffee bars we said yes. But certainly we would have NEVER asked for these if we had known the charge. And certainly if you consider that 1 pint of milk is 58p, 70p for an eggcup full of milk is pretty steep.
Upselling is fine but not when prices are not advertised.  Not only did the cafe charge a completely disproportionate amount for the frothy milk but it is not advertised anywhere on the menu...
Anyway, the amount (70p) is somewhat irrelevant-though that is a huge mark up by anyone's standards but more cynical is the way it was offered and then charged with absolutely no reference anywhere to be seen on the menus.
