Hello Norwoodians,

My boyfriend and I currently live in Crystal Palace, towards the Gipsy Hill side. We will be moving at the end of October (so I may be a little premature in flat searching but I like to be organised!), and need somewhere within close walking distance of Crystal Palace station for the Overground.

We are looking for a 1-bed flat, but would consider a large studio if the sleeping area had some degree of separation from the living area (don't want to be able to do the washing up while in bed thank you very much!) Budget is slightly up in the air at the moment but hoping to find something for around the £800-850 mark, although I know this is a big ask in such a lovely area. We would also consider other areas on the Overground route.

A little bit about us: I work for a magazine publishing company, and my boyfriend is a trainee architect returning to university in September to complete his masters. We are both in our early 20s and have been living together for over 5 years.

If you, or someone you know, may be able to help, please do let me know!

Thank you,

Gabrielle

Hi Gabrielle,

It seems that you lurve CP, but here are some alternatives in SE25, which are in walking distance to Norwood Junction, which has the Overground route (and a fast service to London Bridge i.e. 12 mins)

Thanks for the reply Darcy, I will certainly have a look in to the South Norwood area. We would ideally like to find somewhere privately so as to avoid the rip-off estate agent's fees. We lived in Scotland before moving to London and had a lovely private landlady who charged us nothing other than a month's rent as deposit, so it would be lovely to have that again!
