Inspired by the subway project is looking for people who have any memories of the crystal palace subway (as an air raid shelter/superdays / playing as a child)  that they would like to share. There will be an exhibition in September 2014.

please get in touch if you are interested at inspired@cpsubway.org.uk

"An abandoned Victorian subway in south-east London could be reopened to the public by the spring. It was once a grand entrance to the legendary Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition of 1851, before being abandoned when London's top tourist attraction burned down in 1936. BBC London's Jim Wheble spoke to Jules Hussy from the Friends of Crystal Palace Subway and Martin Tempia of the Crystal Palace Park Stakeholder Group about the hopes for its future."
