Just been to this fairly new Resturant for the first time tonight.
This used to be still Luigis
The midweek special menu of £14 for two courses or £17 for three is an absolute steal.
The food was excellent, of very good quality and there was plenty of it.
There is also the normal a la cart menu to choose from as well
A meal for two with wine was very good value
Highly recommended

Have had two delightful lunches. The service is a bit fussy and formal but actually made a nice change. The owner is lovely and they work so hard to make it a nice experience. Happy to have this new local option. I've enjoyed crab and prawn cocktails, cod with saffron, lots of sides. They are Portuguese so there is an emphasis on fresh seafood - even whole fish. Definitely going back as it is a little oasis of civilisation around the corner from Gipsy Road. Right on the Meadow so plenty of parking.

Went again today and they were overwhelmed with a full house. Long wait but still tasty. Scallops for starters, whole roast seabass for mains, very fresh, such nice staff.

We went to Manuel's restaurant for Sunday lunch with friends yesterday. I think it aims to be a more upmarket venue than other local restaurants, thus may appeal to the more mature (ahem) population who would appreciate real linen tablecloths and napkins. The decor is smart and modern but not too minimalistic. The food quality was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. The owner Manuel was very much in evidence, welcoming guests and making them comfortable and we felt we were treated like valued customers even though it was our first visit. Our only issue was a rather long delay between serving the starters and main course, which Manuel explained the reason for and which seemed to be a one-off. As we had no other pressing engagement it didn't spoil our enjoyment of our meal and we will be going again soon. Highly recommended.

We really like this place so took some friends for Sunday lunch again recently and as ever, the food was delicious and service friendly and impeccable. Their set menu gives a good choice of three courses and is excellent value. Surprisingly it was very quiet that day which is a shame as a little more "buzz" would have improved the ambiance. The only slight downside was a rather long wait for our first course - as we have experienced on previous occasions - but it's worth waiting for if you're not in a hurry. A cold glass of limoncello is offered on the house too. If you haven't yet tried it, you are missing a treat!
