I think Sam has done an excellent job with this place. It feels light and airy even though it is below ground. Great food and drinks - I love the combination of the retro with the diner style. There aren't many places where you can get jelly and ice-cream with hundreds and thousands :) .

The fish finger sandwiches are worth the visit alone. And whilst you're there try the white chocolate milkshake

Just got back from ABC cafe/bar. Went for a pizza and my usual warm choc brownie with rasberries and cream MMMMM and was pleasantly surprised to find that My pizza was completely free as Tuesdays apparently is 2-4-1 night!! :D
Also worth mentioning - they now serve beer.

Oooh we were in there last night as well. We had the house salad (yummy) and some Cruzcampo lager (£2 a pint till end of July).

Will definitely go back, recommended to all.

Mental note - must visit ABC next week....! :D

Been busy wedding planning so I've not been up on the triangle much of late :( I think a few Cruzcampo's may lighten the wedding load...

Only been in here once, a few weeks ago during an afternoon. We were the only ones in, so hard to get a true picture. Hope to try it out again soon as the reviews have been very flavourable.
My first impressions weren't too great: i'm not really into retro things, even though i fall into that age bracket (?) who are usually targeted.
Fish fingers, arctic roll etc. On leaving, we were given the choice of a refresher sweet or a fox's glacier mint !?!
Isn't it just a novelty ?
As i say, i'm keen to pop back in cafe abc and give it another (cadburys) whirl, though.

Right, i'll just finish my rubik's cube, zip up my parka and head home on my spacehopper.

For the record I can still do the rubix cube albeit I now take about 5- 10 minutes to complete it.

What is the target audience of ABC the 60's or 70's child ?

We got blackjacks when we left. And yes, I did stick my tongue out at my husband to ask if it was a black tongue! Old habits die hard!
