Cruzcampo's great! Had a good 3 pints of the stuff last night while the missus was playing Guess Who with her mate.... :)

We'll be back.

Went here at lunchtime - Sam says that they may be closing during the day at the end of the month to concentrate on evening trade as there isn't enough patronage during the day. (at least I think that was it!)

Overall, food was excellent, they have done the place out really nicely, and were friendly and helpful - letting me use the baby changing facilities in the office, and then taking the nappy out to the bins for me! (Sorry about that!). I even got a doggy bag for my boy at the end.

I could have done with a saucer to put the spoon and sugar paper from my drink on though - felt a bit of a greb leaving it on the table as it makes a right old mess - but that's a very minor point.

I'll be back sometime in the evening - it would be a good port of call on a CP bar/pub crawl - and the Elvis night looks like fun.

I heartily recommend the 1/2 pound burger. Friendly service, excellent atmos, good time had by all (although you'll need to make a nuisance of yourself if you want your rose ice cold... ).

Yeah the 1/2 pound burger is to be recommended.

I hope this establishment lasts. It seems to be fairly full most times I've been in.

I can recommend everything I've tried in there, although the tattoo I got with my bubblegum didn't stick.

Oops, did I just admit that out loud?

Popped in here yesterday afternooon with a couple of friends before heading to the Bowl event in the park, and had a very nice time.
Very friendly place, great food. Perhaps a little pricey for some things, but not others !?

I put this in another section but I am posting it here as well because I really want to tell people what an amazing facility we have on our doorstep.

I know a lot of you have already discovered the ABC Bar Diner in Woodland Road, indeed I have seen many V.Ners enjoying the odd mango and brie stuffed filo parcel or warm chocolate fudge brownie with rasberries and cream (sorry getting carried away but food is my pornography nowadays!!) but I don't know if you realise that you can at the moment book private parties there. Last night we had one of the best parties I have been to. We were allowed to decorate the place how we wanted. They played music that we provided and did everything they could to put us at ease and give us what we wanted. On arrival they plied out hot garlic bread, olives and potato wedges. large jugs of sangria were abvailable. We had a choice of meal; stuffed peppers, warm goats cheese salad, hamburgers or stuffed chicken in madeira sauce with mashed potatoes. This was followed by black forest gateau. The many friendly and helpful waitresses were constantly but unobtrusively on hand and all for under £15 per head!

Everybody had a wonderful time. I cannot speak highly enough about this lovely local venue and it is within staggering distance!! Seriously though, If any of you are thinking about holding a party for any occasion, then you really don't have to look any further. (Don't forget to invite me!)
