That deal sounds fantastic, Andy. A great opportunity to sample various dishes from their wonderful menu.
About once a week we order takeaway, and for the past several weeks it has always been from Mehfil. Everything we have tried has been superb, as good as you can get for takeaway. Reliability is not always there with other local takeaways, in my opinion.
The more popular dishes are a very safe bet if the gourmet dishes seem pricey.
And service is excellent too.

It's been quiet in there recently, and there's loads of room, so I wouldn't bother...

Thanks. We went and had lovely, lovely food tonight. First visit.

The owner is negotiating to rent the place on Westow Hill with the wooden staircase, with a view to having one level as the restaurant, same as Mehfil now, other half as a bar and to cater for private parties, etc. It would leave a hole on Church Road but he said the risk of a parking ticket where he is now puts people off, though home delivery is going well. Reckons the Westow Hill position, though closer to the local competition, is far more restaurant-friendly.

Had a really great meal at this restaurant last night - thanks to the reviews posted here (I didn't even know this place existed until I read about it on VN). The manager told me he has negotiated a good deal on the 'Prezzo' site and hopes to move pretty soon. He said the starting price was 60K but he's got it down to an ecellent price and he seemed really excited! I think that it's good news for the Triangle - it's not good to have large gaps and maybe this place is good enough to generate enough custom to keep afloat.

There's a planning notice up nearby which is for a "drinking establishment" at 107 Church Road. I.e. Mehfil

That's great news - it's such a good restaurant - would not like to see it disappear from the Palace....
