We are looking for financial and legal advice about repatriating the proceeds of the sale of a plot in Spain which belonged to my late father. The sum involved is not huge but we do need to know the fiscal ramifications, if any. We have been advised that inheritance tax does not apply (said father being a resident of Andorra), but have an uneasy feeling that someone else may just be waiting in the wings, ready to pounce ! Any advice, recommendations or pointers would be gratefully received.

Property excluded from Inheritance Tax: foreign settled property with non-UK domiciled settlor

The above would probably be a good place to start, although having just skimmed over it I'm now a bit light-headed  . Bon Chance...
