George (tel 07737167187) is a builder that has done some jobs for us (installing new doors and windows,he made few shelves, done some plastering etc. He also takes on larger jobs such as extensions etc. but we have not used him in this capacity. George has always been good and reliable in our experience.

This just appeared on our intra-web site at work (King's College Hospital):

Looking for a good builder? How about a landscape gardner?
Call Ron on 07887 650 994.

Looking for a good plasterer? How about a decorator/tiler, etc.
Call Jamie on 07795 460 342.

(mention my name so he knows where you got his number from)

Tony Hunt

(I have not used these tradesmen myself, just passing on the info for anyone interested.)

I would like to thanks again for all your help.
George has done a great job for me. I get the impression he is reliable, qualified and honest. If he can recommend a cheaper way of doing things, he will let u know.
This Forum is a great help!

Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for a good local builder who could look at fixinga 'springy' floor I have in my house. I'm guessing it must be something to do with the joists.

Thanks

We are looking into extending our kitchen which firstly would involve replacing out boiler for a combi as the water tank fills a massive cupboard that eats into our kitchen. Once this is done we want to push the kitchen out which would require removing and rebuilding stud walls.
Rather than dealing with lots of different people we would like to appoint a company who can do the whole thing. If anyone has any recommendations I would be very grateful!

I know i'll get accused of nepotism but my brother has just moved to CP.

He is very versatile, kitchens, bathrooms, plastering etc...

A more conscientious builder would be hard to find!

His name is James and his number is 07961 830639. give him a couple of days though cos he's doing my bathroom at the moment and my girlfriend would be very upset if it got delayed!!!

That's organic wattle and daub plastering, I very much hope, mike73!

Thanks for your recommendation. I may well have some work coming up.

Very good!!!

There's something horrifically organic about his grubby work clothes but it stops there unfortunately.
