whatever the morrocan dish was that was available on sunday was its a 10 out of ten! other half had that and i had roast pork... scotty floated past the table and suggested he got her a raita... she made me a little corner of pitta and filled it and it was just so good that the pork was nearly ignored.
food like that in the bridge house tavern would be marvellous... it was ground lamb something... worth a try !

Hello all, this is my very first post, so please forgive me if it is old news, or posted in the wrong place..

I booked a table for a Mothers Day treat at The Mansion yesterday, but alas when I got home they had called me back to say they are now closing down and moving out on Sunday 2 March because the pub will be under new management. The Mansion furniture, management and staff, and slightly heatlhier menus will all reapper at the Bridge House near Penge West station hopefully in time for Mothers Day.

Little update - The Mansion is still open on Mothers Day, in fact until at least until the middle of next week (new owners did not complete when they thought they would, so current owners (who also own The BridgeHouse) can stay a little longer).

That's a shame - I assumed that they were expanding, not simply moving. Still I hope the new management will do a good job. We'll have to wait and see.

Does anyone know when this is reopening? There is a team of decorators in there at the moment. I can't see what they are doing in there but it looks like some of the fixures and fitings are still in there such as the chandeliers.

There is another thread called Mansion Takeover, or something similar, which has some info. I don't know how to post a link to it though.
