Went here for breakfast on Sunday based on VN recommendation.

Couldn't really fault the breakfast - well OK the sausages could have been better quality and the toast something other than sliced white - however that would have really elevated it to gourmet, and something that a more pretentious establishment could have charged £8 or £9 for, rather than an entirely bargain worthy £5.

The interior is completely lacking in atmosphere though - fingers crossed they do as planned and tart the place up a bit, then it will be a real contender.

I have to agree.
As much as I like the food and service, there's too much in there left over from Tales of The Sea. It's not dreadful but it would be a step in the right direction for the interior to be brightened a little.

Having said all that, it still remains a favourite. I'd choose it over Domali every single time.

...eventually i left with a bag of take away goodies which the rest of the house are still raving about now... no details of what they were except sardines and seafood but *** this place turns out good kit...and with sainsburys an excuse and timing permitting i think a return is inevitable

Agreed, the grilled sardines are sensational.
There is so much great stuff on the menu, it sometimes beggars belief.
