Can anyone recommend any flooring experts in the area (not specifically wooden floor sanding ones)?
Under our carpets we have a mixture of wooden flooring and - bizarrely - concrete so need some expert advice as to what is possible, whether it's tiling, laying down floorboards etc etc.
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers

I didn't have a great experience with Floor Zone and wouldn't recommend them.

We purchased flooring from an online company, but I can't remember who they were. We had to fit flooring on top of existing floorboards and a concrete floor and we just researched what we should do on the internet, and asked advice of several tradesman we knew. Perhaps going in and speaking to someone at somewhere like Jewsons might be a good idea. Sorry I can't be of more help.

This is too late for the last request for a recommendation, but, Vince of VB flooring has just laid our oak floor, he does alot of work for Lordship Lane carpets but you can contact him direct on 07968875540...I can't recommend him highly enough.

Hi - I thought I'd resume this topic in the hope of any recent recommendations for a wood floor installer. We have a lounge that needs levelling on one side of the room as it slopes and I don't want to lay nice new solid wood flooring on a wonky floor.

I'm going to try Harpers which I've seen in an earlier post but if anyone has more up-to-date ones, that would be great. We have a Nov deadline.

Cheers

Gill
