Well I'm outing myself by commenting on this (if that's even a consideration ) but I have to say I wasn't overly impressed by Southern Pride. Granted I've only ever been once, and it was during the day a fair while ago, but it just felt a little tired to me. Why is it that so many gay bars are just so blah?

I have it on the authority of an old colleague that the beer garden's nice though. Shame it was closed when me and the ex were there then.

By the way, are there any other gay venues locally?

I haven't been he for at least 6 months. But have had excellent nights here.

When I first moved to the area this was my regualr friday and saturday night haunt! Also the garden is stunning - well worth a visit just to see the it!

btw I think this has changed name to Ego and I think now is called Scandals ... but to be honest I only went there twice and I think last time was 2005 !!
