AsapSCIENCE (@AsapSCIENCE) tweeted at 4:02 PM on Wed, Dec 19, 2012:

A 2011 study of 25 top Wall Street traders found that they were no more consistently successful than a chimpanzee tossing a coin.

Hmm. I will pass that one onto my husband and see what he thinks! He uses an awful lot of maths to back up his trading strategies.

My doctor told me to watch my drinking - so now when I drink I look in the mirror.

Ah yes, the Market Porter. A top pint that, in a top pub, I was in it a few weeks ago.

My reason to be cheerful is that today is the last day of work this year.
I make mixes, some of which are quite good. My wife and I cook things too.

A class act indeed ! Earthy surroundings filled with honest people & no sign of a Rupert anywhere !

We met a Rupert later that same day in a pub in Chelsea, and he bought two rounds, so we forgave him his silly accent and lack of chin.

OhMyGod, the Bruichladdich single malt cask strength (57%) whisky that my brother-in-law gave me the other day (he was given it by clients, and he doesn't do whisky) is astonishingly lovely stuff. But I'm doing no more than one shot a day...

Despite looking like Van the Man in your pic, Nik, you're keeping this thread going single-handedly - good on ya!
