Receiving a personal, handwritten letter
Saturday Mornings, Marmite on toast, coffee and Football Focus on the telly.
The view along the Thames from Blackfriars Bridge as I commute home
Winter afternoons in the pub with a newspaper and a pint of Guiness
Putting on some old clothes, discovering a forgotten Tenner scrunched up in the pocket and spending it unwisely
Curry in all itís guises
A perfectly ripe Avocado
Friendsí weddings

Being on the number 3 bus as it finally drives up the long hill of Dulwich Wood Park/College Rd.
Giant chunks of fog billowing across the parade late at night
Starting work at 4am in the summer and being at home by midday.
Friendly musical Robins.

Autumn's coming... and a cold autumn day in the triangle with a book and some spare change for a strong coffee and a light ale is a pleasure.

Also the season for cooking food long and slow in the oven.

Look on the bright side sunbeam - no more salad until the Spring :D
Fighting Nighthawks in the sky
Brave and loyal are these guys
Brothers turning wrong to right
Never running from a fight, fight, fight

- a freshly made bed
- my wife talking to me in her sleep but not remembering
- finding money I'd forgotten about in my other trousers
- my cold beer, from my fridge + my sofa + my cat(s) + my tele + my wife = bliss

On a daily basis one very good reason to be cheerful is the arrival at 20:00 hrs of a very large ice cold Gin & Tonic made with fresh Schwepes tonic and plenty of lime.

Congratulations on the impending addition to the brood. :)

Although when I was a child I always thought one of the worst possible fates would be to be born on Christmas Day...imagine only one lot of presents! :D

Ahh... bliss. Thanks, Elmo!

Also: Royal Opera House £10 Mondays are incredible - I love taking friends to the opera or ballet and getting a classy seat for a tenner that's normally £160 plus.

My favorite thing right now is when my daughter tries to say seahorse - a sort of nasal " Hah-haaah". That and the way she says "good girl" to herself when she puts her toys away. Thanks to Bookseller Crow for the seahorse book!
