My BF tried them and they were nice

We went there on Saturday too with friends and had to wait 15 minutes before having a free table so we nipped in a pub for a shift one before getting back there ....

Went here on Thursday night. Wonderful place. We are so lucky to have this restaurant on our door step. Easily the best restaurant in the area.

Wow, looks like the whole of VN was in there on Saturday as we were there too. I had the calamari, which was very good followed by the king prawns. The prawns were stunning, although I wasn't sure that the feta worked that well with them. My partner had the swordfish, which was very generous and tasty. The service was fantastic as usual and it was great to see it packed out with people waiting for tables.

Gekko I've got a feeling that we might have exchanged smiles? :)

I agree about the feta - the prawns were good enough to stand alone. I had the swordfish for the first time ever and whilst it would not be my fish of preference I did enjoy the dish and it is definitely to the owners credit that on every occassion at Mediterranea I have felt able to come out of my MEAT comfort zone and eat fish.

I also dined at Mediterranea on Saturday, and yes it was packed. I was celebrating my birthday with friends and chose this place for the food and great service. My friends and I had a great time and truly enjoyed the food. Seafood lovers will really appreciate the menu and the food is..... just lovely. I'm trying to think of another reason to go there now!

It's just the best place for fish really. I wish they would work on the decor though as I really had to persuade my partner to go there the other night as she wanted somewhere that was more atmospheric.

Just to let everyone know, Mediterranea now has a website, which I created for them. Could a moderator or admin update the website/wiki/forum etc please.

www.mediterranealondon.com

A few VN reviews are quoted on there :)

Perhaps you could let us know when it is actually ready... the homepage has "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" plastered all over it. We are of course happy to include links but we don't think it is in anybody's interest to refer people to a web site that is still under construction.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Thanks Michael - we'll now add the new site to our listings and update the contact details on this review topic. Perhaps you could add a link back to Virtual Norwood (maybe on the review text snippet itself) so that other customers can provide their feedback here too.

No mention of the Living South award on there. Didn't they win best newcomer?
