I tried it a couple of weeks ago after the Shecky's debacle. Miss Huang across the road is better.

I've been in there twice and it's not bad. The choice on the buffet is reasonable and the quality seemed quite good for the money.

All in all, if you're after gourmet Chinese food then forget it. But if you're after a quick fill-up then it's perfectly fine.

When I wanted to go in there and have something off the menu while my partner wanted the buffet, I was told this wasn't allowed - both of us had to have the same type of meal. Maybe they don't trust people not to nick bits of their companion's buffet meal. Yet portion sizes for normal meals are huge, making it unlikely that people would have room for anything else, and besides that, I may be cheapskate but not to that extent! I went over the road instead as they don't mind you doing this.

I twice went in and tried to have one buffet, one non-buffet and they both times said this wasn't allowed. I won't be going back. Restaurants are here to serve customers not to impose stupid rules on them. So if anyone from the restaurant is reading this, please try lightening up about this type of thing.

I went the other day and had the buffet. It was ok, bit greasy. It's got to be the quickest way to get fed in the Triangle though - get seated, fill plate, eat, pay, leave.
