Hi,

I haven't lived in the area that long, but I wanted to recommend a massage therapist who lives in West Norwood, called Foluke Bootle. She does different types of massage and therapies, but I went to her home for an hour long full body massage - which was amazing! Probably one of the best massages I've ever experienced. She mentioned also doing home visits on certain evenings on request.

Foluke's charges were very reasonable and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a more personalised (and cheaper) treatment than you might find at a salon.

Her contact details are:

Hi,
A friend of mine, a professional masseur, has just moved back to the area and is available for work. He specialises in swedish and sports massage and is completely mobile so can come to your property if more convenient. I know his prices are very reasonable as you're not having to cover salon costs.
If interested you can call him on 07896 514431, his name is Lee Snowden.
Thanks Charly x

Can I also recommend myself (if that's allowed)?! I'm trained and qualified in Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and do home visits or you can come to me - reasonable rates too. It's a very relaxing and destressing massage. Nick 07905 006532

And if that Nick can recommend himself, allow this one to do the same! I practise in Penge and offer Swedish massage and aromatherapy.

Take a look....

I would also highly recommend Foluke Bootle- she's great. I have been receiving massage treatment from Foluke over the past year, since she was recommended to me by a mutual friend.

Her massage technique is excellent; she always updates my medical history before the treatment and consults me as to what areas I would like to her to focus on; she pays great attention to those small but important details like providing drinking water, a warm environment and plenty of warm towels; she asks for feedback both during and after the treatment; most importantly, she never rushes the treatment and allows plenty of time to ‘come round’ at the end and prepare to leave. I always feel that I am in very safe hands and that my well-being is Foluke’s fundamental concern.

I've mainly had deep tissue massage but Foluke also does a great Indian head massage.

I'd really like to recommend Mitch Sulit, a wonderful Filipina masseuse. In three sessions, she achieved what six other therapists and a whopping £800 investment in treatments over 18 months had failed to do - unlocked my back and shoulder after a year of suffering excruciating knots caused by work-related RSI. :) Mitch offers shiatsu, Swedish, aromatherapy and deep-tissue massage (which I had), as well as reflexology, and blends oils to suit the client's needs. She has 14 years' experience and, in her time, has worked for the Saudi royal family and at a five-star resort on Langkawi, so her methods have had to be faultless. She is happy to commute to from her home in Wandsworth Common to yours, but would appreciate a lift from the station (having hoiked her massage bed up all those stairs!). Treatments cost £40 for an hour. You can call her on 07590 819779.

Does your aching shoulder or twinging back keep you from focusing on your work? Do you feel that some stress management might help your productivity? Would you be interested in having a massage therapist come to your workplace? We have a fantastic massage person who does the rounds of the museums and cultural institutions in London.

Annie Hawkins is a professional massage therapist who provides an outstanding in-work therapeutic massage. She has been helping staff in London museums and cultural venues for years (14 years for the place I work!). Her rates are £15 for 20 min and £23 for 40 minutes.
Send an email to anniehawkins ( AT ) hotmail.co.uk to make an appointment or PM me and I'll send her phone number.

She can bring her own table but can also work in any available first aid room, etc. Her style is definitely problem-solving, not ambiance-creating, so see it as therapeutic not spiritual... ;) Everything has its place!

Just had a very enjoyable massage with Suzy Shand of vitality-therapies.co.uk, whom I met at the Penge & Palace WI! It was so relaxing I fell fast asleep :) She offers deep tissue, therapeutic and Indian head massage from locations in Sydenham and Penge and has a two-for-the-price-of-one offer on daytime treatments till June 30, which is fantastic value!

Yes, and they have been excellent every single time. Graham fixed a back problem that other osteopaths had failed to recognise the source of and Charlie has treated my husband many times and he's been delighted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
