Hi,
I'm thinking of resurrecting the reading group.
Anyone interested?

A friend and I would be interested in joining a book group in Crystal Palace.

It's been discussed between myself and a couple of other CP'ers recently so I can vouch for at least another 3 attendees.

oh thats awesome!
I thought everyone would read my post but no-one would reply!
Do you think the last wednesday of each at Domali for cocktail happy hour would work? I'm guessing not this month, but could be nice for the new year?

Sorry, haven't been on the forum for a while! Last Wednesday of each month sounds good to me.

I would also be interested. What time are you thinking of starting?

Fab!
How about 7pm, gives people time to get home from work?
Any suggestions for books? I'm reading The Book of Dave at the moment, hard going but good. Unless the first meeting we just meet and choose a book for the next month?

Hello book clubbers,
I'm new to this site, and would love to join you - I too can also vouch for one more person.
Has a date been and book been decided? Might be an idea if we all meet and take it from there, see what kind of books people would like to read?
Cheers,
H

Hello - I'd definitely be interested, if this idea didn't die a death amidst people's other commitments last year. And if it did, is there any chance we could revive it? It's high time I did something about my shameful routine of working through the review section of the Guardian every week, without ever actually reading any books...

Fab!

Hows about we all meet and then decide on a book to get us going?
I'm guessing the last wednesday of the month (this week) is going to be short notice, so does anyone have any objections with the FIRST wednesday of the month? 6 Feb at Domalis, perhaps!

I would really like to join this book club too! Unfortunately, I have a work do on the evening of the 6th, is there any chance you could let me know what you choose so I can read it too and come along next month?

Michele - we'll let you know what we choose.

Everyone else - no background reading necessary. But if everyone comes armed with an idea of a book to read that will probably be helpful. Was hoping to hit happy hour at Domalis, so 7pm? Clearly the cocktails are aas important as the reading..
