@ Palace & Spoon ... pretty much what St Luke's Rails said (GRRRR) .... plus ... sort of lost my job (got another one), been dumped into an unortdox way by my ex (not for the forum's topic)

I am pretty much back .... and in need of a good place to drink .... or just a good stiff drink LOL

Glad you are back LSPE! The Bridge should do you a good stiff drink. But more choice in CP I suppose!

LSPE is back! Prodigal son! Hurrah!

(The bad news is he has slated our neighbourhood local. Hey, LSPE, go a bit light on them because they are a LOT better than what went before. I wonder if the Bridgy has had a change of ownership?)

Actually he bought me a drink and asked the girl to put it on his tab at the special managers rate!

Me and the missus enjoyed a nice relaxing in the Bridge House last night. Can't find fault with the food, atmosphere or staff.
Feel lucky to have such a great venue on doorstep

I think they might have changed the chef ....

I am being contructive here - if they charge those prices then they have to be up to scratch with what they offer.

What I had was below average ....

Food seems ok, albeit with the hiked up prices. It's a bit screaming babytastic though.

I think the way below the average (burger both in terms of quality and size) "wrapped" in flat bread, was either £8.50 or £9.50 ..... @ GBK they are cheaper and they taste better ....and it's a chain ... says it all

Quite generous portions though. Although that's not a priority for me. Quality over quantity and all that. But before I have to moderate myself, it is ok...! Staff are very friendly. Food no better no worse than a lot of 'gastropubs' in the area, unless I am missing out on somewhere fantastic...

A poor review to balance my last glowing one... Went there last night and ordered an 8oz burger and chips x 2. We asked for it to be served medium well. It arrived raw in the middle and accompanied by undercooked chips. We sent it back and went home.
