Our office went crazy (transport planners so it'll keep us in business for the next seven years!)

Weeble - do you think there is a chance that we could take advantage of the high spirits in your office, and slip in an extension of the Victoria Line from Brixton to Crystal Palace, without anyone noticing? :)

Fantastic. Great news for the country and CP. Will there be money for the sports centre so that teams can train there?

I am soooooooooooooooooooo happeeeeeeeeeeeee :D :D :D :D

The meet at Crystal Palace (Grand Prix on 22nd July) will be a massive celebration, and I'm going to be in the middle of it!

Also - we'll get the park redeveloped.

Good news all round!

Perhaps we can get the French to do the catering.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist)

Brilliant news indeed - I was getting quite nervous about it.

Are there actually any concrete plans for CP at all? It's not an official venue . . .

I wish I could be in Edinburgh to welcome Chirac tomorrow.

Have I got a frites on my shoulder?

I'd heard CP would be a training facility, rather than an actual event location...so probably still good news for investment in the park

That's what I'd heard - there was some noise about the USA team taking it over as a training ground or something.

At least it certainly means the ELLX will happen (as much of the spin about that has centred around it being ready in time for the Games)...

Hurrah for us! B)
