I'm currently tracing family history and know that my paternal grandmother was Julia Maria Beasley of 39 Tennyson Road, Penge. Unfortunately Dad (born 1924) was given up for adoption and we cannot find any trace of either Julia or Tennyson Road.
Any information would be much appreciated

Here is Tennyson Road No 39 is not far from the arrow. A James Beasley is shown there in the 1936 directory. I knew slightly two Beasley sisters (Rose & Ivy, I think), presumably his daughters, who died in the 70s or 80s. I'll try to find out more. E-mail me.

With some assistance from the doyenne of local history, Doris Pullen, I have produced a list of Beasleys and spelling variants between 1922 & 1939 (for which Beckenham Library have directories). I'm not sure it would be good netiquette to post it here, but if any other Beasleys, Beasleighs etc. want a copy, they're welcome to e-mail me.
