Hello!

I have been looking for a copy of "Crystal Palace, Anerley and Penge in Old Photographs" for some time now with no luck and hoped that somebody here on the forum

could perhaps point me in the right direction, or maybe even have a copy that they would part with ( i have always been an optimist ), my father worked in a company

in Westow str. for many years after 1946 and we lived there for some time and as i very rarely get to England nowadays i hope to catch a glimpse of some of my old

memories from way back when. Anyway go ahead and earn my undying gratitude and give me a hint PLEASE.

Have a nice day

Anthony

Have you tried the Bookseller Crow?

020 8771 8831 or email jonathan@booksellercrow.co.uk

There's an available copy at Leicester University Library

If you're affiliated to a University or know someone who might have access, you can use the "find a copy" link at the bottom of this page. Be interested to hear how you get on.

Thank you all for your help so far, I took your advice and e-mailed the booksellers Crow and am waiting for

a reply. I also found a few other books, one of which you recommended here , and have ordered them at

Amazon and i am really looking forward to browsing the photographs. I think it was finding this forum,

simply by chance some time back that awoke my interest in the area again, Westow st.,Church Rd., Greystoke

and the whole area came flashing back into my mind like a film.

Thanks again and have a nice day

Just a short post script : Leep the book that you mentioned is sadly no longer available, the only one that I did receive was "Crystal Palace and Penge in Old Photos" some very nice photos, but of course mainly from the old Crystal Palace building and very few of the Norwood areas, Jannism from the booksellers as yet no reply,so I shall have to keep on trying. Thanks again and if anything ever crosses your paths then please do let me know.
