Can anyone tell me anything about South Norwood Country Park during the war years? I know it was a sewage farm at that time, but I'd appreciate any details you may know about what it looked like. (That sounds really silly, doesn't it? Everyone knows what a sewage farm is like! Or what a modern one is like, anyway.)

The book I am currently working on has a chapter taking place there. (It's obviously not a Mills and Boon romance!) As I disagree strongly with my editor's feeling of "it's fiction, it doesn't have to be accurate" I'd appreciate any input.

Many thanks!
