Which? voted their washing powder the most effective one around (and Aldi dishwasher tablets). I have been using it ever since - as good as any of the major brands and super market own brands. But i do agree with you, Fang, parmesan, olive oil, cured meats, cheeses and olives are all great value. It does mean lots of going to different shops though! So probably what I save on grocery shopping I spend on petrol!

Well, silly as it sounds, the introduction of shopping baskets is something that might make me go more often. Thanks for the heads up.

Couldn't agree more Moc - a shopping basket might encourage me to buy more goods or any goods even! Still haven't made it to Lidl, but a trip on the bike before Christmas down to Penge, food shopping haven of South South Central, is a must looking at the various recommendations for Lidl and elsewhere. :)

Sounds like I might need to hitch up a trailer and a motor for the return journey :lol:
