I have never been to this restaurant and looking at their web page and I am never likely to. So, please please please someone post a review.

Okey-doke. Went once about 3 years back. We really fancied fajitas and though we didn't like the look of the place we thought, 'Well, you can't muck up a fajita, can you?'

Well, you can and they did. Never going again.

One ill-judged Sunday lunchtime a couple of years ago Mrs Uncle Wilf and I ventured for the first and last time into Borderland and experienced food with unprecedented levels of unpleasantness about it.

Don't bother. Overpriced and underperforming.

Still it's been around for years hasn't it? But so has VD.....

It has been around for years. I first went here for a birthday party in about 1988 or thereabouts. Cant really remember it very well, but the "party" atmosphere and prospect of a furtive alcoholic drink was certainly more of a draw than the food.

Last went here about four or five months ago and the food was awful. However the comedy (upstairs) was most enjoyable. So, if you do go to the comedy, make sure you eat beforehand.

I used to go back in the 80's too... The food wasnt much cop then.... but thats when there wasnt much competition in CP atall and now they are stuck in a rutt and they really need to sit down and completely rethink the whole 'concept'.....its old (mexican) hat now....and everytrhing really looks dated.....maybe it would be better for them to turn it into a comedy store downstairs....rather than it being hidden away at the top....I think they have too much space and too little customers - so you are literally rattling around.....
.."anyone for some refried beans..?" pfffff...... :P

<snip> [I]t seems to have weathered well & it still has the same owners I think. I personally look at bums on seat & this establishment seems to do OK. I have seen some great acts up there too Tim Vine was my personal favourite he was an excellant stand up comic. I bet it will still be going strong long after the brushetta closes across the road. No just enjoyed it. It's just a shame no one gave it a chance - there's worse places.
