Ok I couldn't think of a better title.
'The Shop Idea' shows that there is great talent in the community and that people really enjoy creating and being a part of something and helping others. So I thought this thread might help spark some ideas or you never know maybe help someone find a job.

Not that I can necessarily help a great deal but I can offer referrals if you're a business or freelancer, and I also have contacts in some areas than might be useful to some people. If your employed and know of positions that have opened up, please post a message about it in the jobs forum.

Ok so here's my bit.

Education/skills: Accounting and Finance degree. Web languages: PHP, MySQL, XML, HTML, CSS. Self taught with much to learn. Experience installing networks (wired/wireless) at stadiums, hotels and outdoor sporting events.
Status: Self employed. Manage many websites (especially student focused): http://www.LondonStudent.co.uk and http://www.StudentBooks.com. I also manage a promotional staffing agency, http://www.Wildfires.co.uk.
Looking for: Referrals, including potential advertisers for my student sites and companies looking for brand ambassadors (leafleters, samplers, mystery shoppers etc.). Also looking for anyone with particular experience in publishing to maybe help revive an idea for a student magazine.
Can offer: Free advertising for certain campaigns and projects on some of my websites. Possibly offer website hosting. Also can get motivated promotional staff to your event at very short notice. Offer referrals for related services to my clients.

This is brief but it's a start. If I can help anyone please let me know.

Can offer: Access to a network of experienced publishing professionals, from writers and sub-editors to graphic designers for any project, big or small.

Not got a lot to offer but it's worth a try!

Education/skills: Hopefully 4 'A' levels, first aid certificate (currently needs renewing but I'm more than willing to re-do it), food hygiene certificate, great communication and people skills. Should have driving licence by end of July 2009.

Status: Student about to take final exams, then ready to enter employment

Looking for: Any jobs in the health care sector. Would also be interested in jobs in education such as teaching assistant, especially with special needs children.

Can offer: Not many qualifications but a wealth of experience when it comes to caring, teaching, leading and organising.

Hi,

Check out www.axcis.co.uk for teaching assistant work. My husband and I are both professional dancers but since the entertainment industry is obviously suffering the consequences of the 'current climate' we have signed up with them and they are great.

Hope this helps x
