If you have had a bad experience you should always tell the boys I do if I feel its not up to scratch.

I'm afraid this didn't help in our case though that was some time ago (cf my first post on this forum I think!) - I told the "boys" and it didn't help ... the "old boy" was almost rude!
I would definitely recommend Passage to India though. Looking forward to trying Mehfil soon.

We haven't ordered here since they delivered our curries over an hour late swimming in oil, so we sent it back quick-smart! Until then it was our favourite curry house, but has since been succeeded by Gurkha Cottage (fab Gosht Podina!). I think however Mehfil might be in the running... Looking forward to trying it on Friday.

Well done sylvester I am glad I would be going out of mind if I did not have a regular haunt.

However was in attendance at the spice saturday night & asked the boys for a sample of kitchen staff diner which is not on the menu . Fabulous I cant believe it was not the menu.

Have to admit... can feel a parting of the ways coming on here.

A couple of iffy meals and then one bad one.... not looking to rush back which is a shame as used to go here all the time and it has at times been really good.

Food quality seems to have taken a down-turn......

We booked a table for twenty to celebrate a birthday. The whole experience from begining to end was a delight! Food was freshly cooked to perfection and piping hot, the waiters were friendly, efficient and good humoured. All in all this is probably the finest curry solution in the triangle, if not the world. 10/10

Was in here Friday night and it was full.

Food and service were both decent.
Interesting note that another similar restaurant was completely empty. Palace Spice seems to continue to get it largely right and seems to still maintain a steady stream of custom.

It's not flash and the "old boy" can be a bit... well... short with people! But the food is good. Very good in fact.

Certainly gets the thumbs up from Mr and Mrs Elmo.

The food is consistently good. You cannot argue paying less than 15 for a two course meal and a pint.

I sincerely hope not... got a quality take out from them on Friday.

I had heard previously that the Golden Tiger was on its way but it remains.

Absolutely not the boys are looking to expand if anything ! Another cracking meal Saturday.

Its been a few weeks since I have had a sit down curry rather than a takeaway & i am missing my Bangla.

Next time you are in the spice ask for a Bottle of Bangla its a large bottle but it knocks the spots off kingfisher . My record is three in one sitting

Went here for the first time on Saturday and have to say it was great. Although the service was a bit slow (we think there were kitchen staff problems as they kept apologising to the take away customers!), the food was fantastic. I tried something different for once and had the King Prawn Delight and it certainly was :) All but one table was taken and the complementary shot at the end was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend :)
